AudioQuest takes advantage of this physical phenomenon in the Irish Red by heavily plating solid core conductors with 0.5% pure silver. This optimal placement puts the superior metal exactly where the high-speed signal travels most, giving you the spectacular transient speed, clarity, and control of a near-pure silver cable while keeping the price incredibly friendly.

Symmetrical Coax Geometry & Solderless Cold-Welded Joints
Unlike cheap cables that compromise performance by using the outer shield as an audio return path, Irish Red utilizes a Symmetrical Coax Geometry with separate, identical positive (+) and negative (-) pathways. Modern homes are bombarded with Radio-Frequency Interference (RFI) from Wi-Fi networks and mobile devices.
